Sapa – Suoi Thau – Ma Tra – Ta Phin – Sapa

The tour begins at 9 am, and the guide from Meditours Sapa will greet you either at your hotel in Sapa town or outside the main church of Sapa.

Following a brief introduction, we will take a short five minute walk to access a narrow trail where you can observe cardamom trees flourishing in the small valleys – these trees produce one of Sapa’s most prized fruits. From there, we will hike downwards towards Suoi Ho, a quaint village inhabited by the Black Hmong minority, characterized by their old and modest homes.

During our trek, you will encounter various animals that the locals rely on, including water buffalo, chickens, dogs, and pigs. The journey will also provide stunning views of the terraced rice fields set against a backdrop of majestic mountains.

Next, we will continue our trek along a tiny path that runs through the rice paddies leading us to Ma Tra village. Here, we will enjoy lunch at a charming restaurant owned by a traditional Hmong family, which features an outdoor patio offering breathtaking views.

After finishing our meal, we will proceed to Ta Phin village, where you’ll have the opportunity to meet members of both the Black Hmong and Red Dao communities.

The Hmong people are known for their distinctive marriage customs, while the Red Dao are celebrated for their proficiency in herbal medicine, utilizing local plants to remedy various ailments.

Additionally, you will have the chance to explore Ta Phin Cave, which delves deep into the mountains, and witness local women crafting brocade products for sale.

Transportation will be arranged to return you from Ta Phin to Sapa, marking the conclusion of the tour.

(The entire excursion is expected to wrap up around 3:30 pm in Sapa town, allowing you sufficient time to book a bus back to Hanoi or any other destination afterward)
