As you embark on a rice field trekking tour in Sapa, our experienced local guide will lead you through three villages that are home to the H’Mong, Giay and Red Dao ethnic groups. This tour will give you the opportunity to not only admire the majestic beauty of the mountains but also to see the most prominent rivers and valleys of the Sapa region.
In addition, you will also have the opportunity to admire the famous terraced fields, while learning deeply about the culture, customs and traditions of the two ethnic minorities that mainly live in Sapa. Our guide will share with you the unique features of the H’Mong wedding customs, the process of rice cultivation, occupations, house building techniques and many other interesting information!

Sapa – Y Linh Ho – Lao Chai – Ta Van (13 Km ~ 5 Hours)
The tour starts at 9am. Your guide from Meditour Sapa will pick you up at your hotel in Sapa town or meet you right in front of the main church.
After a brief introduction, you will be driven about 2km to Cat Cat village, a famous village of the H’Mong ethnic group.
From here, you will head to the suspension bridge over the Muong Hoa River, then continue your journey uphill into the mountainous area.
Here, you will have the opportunity to admire the most beautiful and largest terraced fields in Vietnam, along with the majestic scenery of the Hoang Lien Son mountain range.
Next, you will go to Y Linh Ho village and enjoy lunch at a small traditional restaurant, run by a local H’Mong family.
After a break, you will go to Lao Chai, a village of the Black H’Mong people, then continue your trek to Ta Van village, where you will have the opportunity to meet the Giay ethnic people.
You will learn clearly about the differences between ethnic minority groups through real-life experiences, before we get back on the bus and head back to Sapa.
(The tour is expected to end at around 15:30 in Sapa town, so you can arrange to take the bus back to Hanoi or to another destination afterwards)
